Caleb Evans honored as SC’s NFF Scholar Athlete

Congratulations to Senior QB Caleb Evans on his selection as South Carroll’s 2024 National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete.

A three year varsity football player, Caleb has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and a strong work ethic both on the football field, and in the classroom. Caleb was selected by his peers as a team captain two years in a row, and established himself as a member of the program’s Elite 11 as a junior and senior.  In 2024, Caleb was named the program’s Cavalier of the Year for his leadership and dedication to the team.

Caleb has also been a member of the basketball and baseball teams at South Carroll, and additionally he’s worked with an organization called ‘Level the Playing Field’ helping to give kids in under-resourced communities the opportunity to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of youth sports participation. Caleb is finishing up his high school career with a 4.55 GPA and plans on attending college in the fall.

The Greater Baltimore Chapter of the NFF’s mission is to help student-athletes take responsibility for their futures through lessons learned on the playing field, in the classroom and in service to others.

Scholar-athletes representing football-playing high schools in the Baltimore metropolitan area were selected by their respective schools for a variety of factors, including extracurricular activities, leadership, and community activities.

Since it was founded in 1961, the Baltimore Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame represents amateur football in Baltimore and the surrounding counties of Anne Arundel, Carroll, Frederick, Harford and Howard.
