Ronnie Barnard
Coach Ronnie Barnard was born and raised on the Howard county side of Mount Airy.
Ronnie has coached football for 16 years, first with the local Winfield Youth Football program, before joining the South Carroll football staff in 2019.
He began his coaching career young, with the Glenelg Gladiators right after graduating. After that, he was away from football for a number of years until his son began playing for the Winfield Cavaliers. Ronnie coached teams to the playoffs in 8 out his 12 years with Winfield, taking his team all the way to the Super Bowl in 3 consecutive seasons.

At South Carroll, Ronnie took over the defensive coordination of the JV team; his 2019 defense allowed an average of less than 1 TD per game and finished the season with 4 consecutive shutouts.
Coach Barnard has been married to Tina for the best 29 years of his life, and has three children. His two daughters graduated South Carroll in 2015 & 2019, and his son will graduate in 2022.
