Barnard, Patrick earn Super 22 honors
Players selected to the Super 22 team have received All-State, All-League and/or All-Conference honors during their junior Season. Additionally, academic performance was considered in the selection process, along with performance at the Super 22 combine and on the athletic field.
For the first time since 2016, South Carroll has two players recognized as members of the Baltimore Touchdown Club’s Super 22 team, QB Ryan Barnard & DL Sean Patrick.
Coming off a shortened Spring 2021 season that saw the Cavaliers post a 4-2 record, both seniors Barnard and Patrick will be called on to help continue the momentum this fall. Barnard will lead the offense returning 7 starters, and Patrick will again fill big roles on both sides of the ball as he looks to continue to excel in his third season with the Varsity.
The 24th annual Super 22 high school football roster features 50 of the top football players (nominated by their coaches) who hope that their academic and athletic abilities will land them a college scholarship.
Many of the players selected have received All-State, All-League, or All-Conference honors as juniors, and nominated players recently participated in the Baltimore Touchdown Club combine. Each player had an opportunity to be visible to the numerous college programs in attendance, hoping to earn early scholarship offers.
