Sr. QB Caleb Evans Teams up with Leveling the Playing Field

“My hopes for sponsoring this type of collection drive are to raise money and awareness for young athletes who don’t have the privilege of having needed equipment. Through monetary and equipment donation drives I’m hoping we can get these young athletes off the sideline and bring together the Mount Airy and Winfield communities.”

Sr. QB Caleb Evans is teaming up with Leveling the Playing Field (LPF) to collect new or gently used sports equipment. You can contribute by dropping off used/older equipment to our collection site during the week of June 17th to 20th, between 9am and 12:30pm each day, at the South Carroll High School Stadium located at 1300 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD. Additionally, monetary donations are welcome and can be made online at https://give.classy.org/scgivesback until June 20th. For any questions, please contact volunteer advisor Caleb Evans at cevans2105@gmail.com. For more information on accepted donations, visit www.levelingtheplayingfield.org. Follow LPF on Instagram @LPFSports and @LPFBaltimore.

We asked Caleb about his motivations for reaching out and setting up a donation drive in partnership with Leveling the Playing Field:

“I was just looking around for opportunities to give back to what built me into the person I am today. In this case, it was youth sports, and after finding LPF I knew that I had found a way to give back. Teaming with LPF, our goal is to get young athletes – who have been sidelined due to incapability of having necessary equipment – back on the field.”
